1. in advance of 在……前面。如：
He is far in advance of his class. 他在班上遙遙領(lǐng)先。

2. in case of 一旦，以防，如果。如：
In case of fire, call 119. 倘若有火災(zāi)，就打119電話。
The wall was built along the river in case of floods. 為了防洪，沿河筑了堤。
3. in charge of 擔(dān)任，指揮，管理，負(fù)責(zé)照料。如：
