有部分家長(zhǎng)認(rèn)為，申請(qǐng)網(wǎng)游監(jiān)護(hù)的過程過于繁瑣。

文中的online guardianship就是指“網(wǎng)游監(jiān)護(hù)”，全稱為Parents’ Guardian Project for Minors Playing Online Games(家長(zhǎng)網(wǎng)游監(jiān)護(hù)工程)，這里的online其實(shí)是指online/cyber games(網(wǎng)游，網(wǎng)絡(luò)游戲)。家長(zhǎng)在申請(qǐng)監(jiān)護(hù)時(shí)，要提供證件證明自己是guardian(監(jiān)護(hù)人)。必要時(shí)還可以封閉孩子的gaming account(游戲賬號(hào))，采取一些coercive measures(強(qiáng)制措施)。

Guardianship意思是“監(jiān)護(hù)、監(jiān)護(hù)權(quán)”，比如legal guardianship(合法監(jiān)護(hù)權(quán))。目前，不少under-age children(未成年人)染上Internet addicts(網(wǎng)癮)，甚至參與online gambling(網(wǎng)絡(luò)賭博)，的確需要家長(zhǎng)進(jìn)行適當(dāng)監(jiān)護(hù)和引導(dǎo)。
