墜入愛河

David：你覺得人們什么時候會墜入愛河呢?別人怎么知道他們相愛了呢?When do you think people normally fall in love? How can people know when they fall in love?

You：I don’t know. I have never had a boyfriend. 我不知道。我沒交過男朋友。

David：想想看。Just imagine.

You：I imagine that they will think about their lover every second of every minute of every day. And they will want to live together, I think that’s a part of being in love. The feeling of being in love, or having a crush is different from other types of love. 我猜他們會每時每刻想著他們的愛人。他們會想一起生活，我覺得這是相愛的一部分。相愛或熱戀是與其他的愛不同的。

David：你認(rèn)為人們通常多大開始戀愛或者說有第一個男朋友、女朋友?At what age do people usually fall in love? Or how old do you think they have their first boyfriend or girlfriend?

You：20歲。20

David：20歲?他們才有第一個男朋友或女朋友?20?People have the first boyfriend or girlfriend?

You：Yes, although some people are more precocious. They might meet in middle school. I also know some people who wait until they are 25 or 30. Then they find a partner. Normally in the past city kids start going steady at a slightly younger age than those from the countryside. 是的。雖然有些人要早熟一些——可能在中學(xué)就約會了，但我也認(rèn)識一些一直等到25歲或30歲才開始找對象的人。但是一般來講，過去城市里的年輕人找男朋友或是女朋友要早于農(nóng)村的年輕人。

David：聽我一個學(xué)生講，現(xiàn)在城市的孩子和農(nóng)村孩子開始戀愛的時間都大概在20歲左右。But one of my students told me that nowadays rural kids date at the age of 20, just as old as city kids do.

You：可能吧。城市和農(nóng)村在這方面的差異并不太明顯。
