提出兩種或兩種以上的情況，要求對方選擇一種情況回答，這種問句叫做選擇疑問句，選擇疑問句的兩種或兩種以上的情況用or 連接，回答時不能用yes 或no ，語調一般是第一種選擇用升調，最后一種選擇用降調。選擇疑問句可以分為一般選擇疑問句和特殊選擇疑問句兩種。

1 一般選擇疑問句

句型：一般疑問句+or +被選擇的情況?

Are you a teacher or a student ?你是個老師還是個學生?

I’m a student.我是個學生。

Did you work out the math problem in this way or (in )that way ?

你用這種方法還是用那種方法把這道數(shù)學題算出來的?

I did it in that way.我用那種方法算出來的。

2 特殊選擇疑問句

句型：特殊疑問句，A or B ?

Which is bigger ，Beijing or New York ?哪個城市大些，北京還是紐約?

Beijing is.北京。

When will he leave for London ，today or tomorrow ?

他何時動身去倫敦，今天還是明天?

Tomorrow.明天。

注意

or 之后如果是單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，必須要加上冠詞。
